One of the oldest, well established jewellery companies of Pforzheim (the city of gold) founded by Georg Lauer in 1895 producing exquisite gold and silver writing articles as well as precious metal clips for bank notes and key rings. The passion for high quality jewellery began when producing the first pieces of gold jewellery 1928.

The company Georg Lauer grew rapidly and internationally. The early 50's saw the company make more than half of its turnover in export markets. Encouraged by the success with their collection they invested in the creation of a brand and, in 1970, the brand Laudier was reintroduced which today belongs to the small club of the most renowned jewellery brands in Germany and is recognized worldwide.

In 1995 the company Georg Lauer celebrated its 100 years' anniversary in a mega celebration which included derbies, tennis tournaments, cocktail parties and a flurry of media activity. By then Georg Lauer had become a house of brands. The famous jewellery brands currently under its umbrella are - Laudier, Paula, Atelier and the company brand, Georg Lauer.
